چکیده

A compressor is an automatic gain control effect that scales the output level of a signal based on the input level. If the input level is above a certain threshold, the compressor reduces the gain of the signal based on how high the input signal is above the threshold. The 1176LN is a hardware compressor originally produced in the late sixties. The circuitry has been tweaked several times to decrease noise and improve efficiency. There are modern reproductions currently being produced by Universal Audio. The compressor is an entirely solid state piece of gear that is sought after for its clear tone and clean compression. We aimed to characterize aspects of the 1176 and to build a functioning digital model in Simulink that behaves closely to the real world compressor.

Performance Prediction Modeling of Axial-Flow Compressor by Flow Equations

Design models of multi- stage, axial flow compressor are developed for gas turbine engines. Axial flow compressor is one of the most important parts of gas turbine units. Therefore, its design and performance prediction are very important. One-dimensional modeling is a simple, fast and accurate method for performance prediction of any type of compressors with different geometries. In this appro...

Performance Modeling and Examination of Losses in the Axial -Flow Compressor and Comparisonwith Experimental Results

The performance prediction of axial flow compressors at different speeds and under various pressure ratio conditions are still being developed because of costly empirical experiments. One-dimensional modeling is a simple, fast and accurate method for performance prediction in any type of compressor with different geometries. In this approach, inlet flow conditions and compressor geometry are kn...

Stage-by-Stage and Parallel Flow Path Compressor Modeling for a Variable Cycle Engine

This paper covers the development of stage-by-stage and parallel flow path compressor modeling approaches for a Variable Cycle Engine. The stage-by-stage compressor modeling approach is an extension of a technique for lumped volume dynamics and performance characteristic modeling. It was developed to improve the accuracy of axial compressor dynamics over lumped volume dynamics modeling. The sta...

Finite Element Modeling of a Refrigeration Compressor for Sound Prediction Purposes

This study involves the development of a fmite element model of a hennetic reciprocating compressor for noise prediction applications. Inherent difficulties in developing the finite element model of a complicated structure are discussed and appropriate modeling strategies are evolved. The development of the complete compressor fmite element model is carried out in two stages modeling of the com...

Rényi information dimension: fundamental limits of almost lossless analog compression

In Shannon theory, lossless source coding deals with the optimal compression of discrete sources. Compressed sensing is a lossless coding strategy for analog sources by means of multiplication by real-valued matrices. In this paper we study almost lossless analog compression for analog memoryless sources in an information-theoretic framework, in which the compressor or decompressor is constrain...
